As the world's largest pet insurance provider, we know that pets play a very special role in our lives - and we know this because you told us. We've received thousands of letters and pet photos over the years telling us how important your pets are - how they make you laugh, how they have provided real companionship and, in some cases, how they saved your life.

This got us thinking... what if we developed a website where you can upload all of your pet photos, share them with family friends and print your favourite pet pics on t-shirts, mugs, mousemats and much more.

Yes, yes, we know it's not a new idea, so we decided to do a photo upload website with a difference - a Guinness World Record attempt kind of difference.

By uploading pictures of your pets, you will join us in our Guinness World Record attempt to create the largest gallery of pets or ‘petraits’ ever!

We need to reach the magic number of 138,000 ‘petraits’ (no small task!) to beat the current world record, but with your help we know we can get there.

Once we reach that magic number we'll be printing off all of the photos uploaded and displaying them in a giant gallery (we'll keep you updated on the location as we need to find somewhere big enough!). It's here at the printed gallery that the Guinness World Record team will confirm that a new record has been set.
